And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My Dad had a '64 just like this in grey. 401 V8, up to that point it was the fastest car I had ever driven. Disc brakes weren't available b ack then, but it had finned aluminum brake drums that really worked.in 1964 I was 19. Unscientific, but I timed it with a stop watch, zero to 100 indicated to zero in 20 seconds. A beautiful car on the road as well. I took it on my honeymoon in Feb '67. Drove from Detroit to Wash. DC in a raging snowstorm that came right along with me all the way!
My old man had a 69. Sumbitch would haul for a big car. Told him I would buy it when he got tired of it. He sold it to a 2g. I'm still pissed about it.
