And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
New Zealand's Southern Alps tourist flight (but quite a few years ago I suspect as they use helicopters nowadays). You land on a glacier, have a snow flight and then take off again - wife and youngest were too chicken so only me and two kids went. The mountains are very close to the coast so its a short flight from the West Coast side. The only downside is weather - it rains (really rains) half the year down where the glaciers are. Lots of high quality coal and plenty of gold, excellent fishing and hunting in stunning scenery with relaxed pub hours. There are not many people either. One of my favorite places in the world.
