  1. He’s gonna end up with a pitot tube up his kazoo if he’s not careful…

  4. Great to watch all the hand signals, a ballet of 1 second from something that can kill you.

  5. The F-4 looks fast even when parked. I love that plane! I had a pair of slick RF-4 Marine Recons fly over me in my convertible at 480 kgs and about 200 ft; what a noise!

  6. I was an F-105 crew chief, '69-'73, they were beautiful birds and fast. The F-4 was proof that bricks could fly if you gave them enough horsepower. They WERE awesome war birds!

  7. In the late seventies I was stationed at MCAS El Toro and the building we worked out of was close to the west end of the runway (Bldg 10) and when those F-4's kicked those afterburners on when taking off the roar was brain bleeding loud. It'd make your body vibrate, seriously. Probably why I have hearing loss to this day between the F-4's, A-4's and A-6's.

  8. One of the only ballets where the dancers have skin in the game.
