And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Passing. What does that passing sign on the right say?
Okay, dammit. My experience says it's Inyo, but my brain keeps seeing Idaho in that pixelated mess. It's not National Park. It's National Forest, which has always driven me mad because there are National Forests with NO forests on them whatsoever, not even Joshua trees. Also in my experience are plenty of mountainous and forested places where the approach to them is weirdly desert-like. I have indeed just now wasted a LOT of time... old age, cheaters AND magnifying glass!
Looking at the analog guages looks like 55-60 mph. Rode my Honda 929RR in an area that looked like that in New Mexico. Seems like a lifetime ago. Allan
Inyo Natio
ReplyDeleteSorry about that. Senior moment.
ReplyDeleteInyo National Forest, perhaps?
Looks right.
DeleteOnly trees in sight would be Joshua trees.
Definitely a National Park Service sign. By the way, the bike's speedo is reading 93 mph and he's not flying past that car he's passing.
ReplyDeletePassing uphill on a curve with double yellow lines.
Delete"MPH"? The car moves off the pavement, likely stopping to take a photo the sign. Methinks it's "93.3 MPG".

ReplyDeleteNo need. Car is stopped by side of road.
ReplyDeleteBike is not going fast at all and he never crossed the centerline.
ReplyDeleteTonto National Forest is a better fit.
