And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That is disturbingly similar to my reaction when I contact a spider web. Add in a soundtrack of my already high pitched voice raised to a shrieking level that a little girl would envy. "Get it off, get it off, get it off!"
The cat got the string wrapped around itself and didn't care for that. Happened to my cat recently and she took off running throughout and basement. I finally caught her and got her unwrapped. She hasn't played with that toy ever since.
