Nez Perce Chief Joseph and his family in Leavenworth, Kansas where they were exiled from 1877 to 1885.

  1. In 1878 they were moved to just south of Baxter Springs, Kansas for a time. They came up and traded in town regularly and were well regarded by the locals.
