And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Might be a worthwhile read, considering current events
Written by a ghost writer (Tony Schwartz) since Trump can neither string a coherent sentence together or have the attention span to write a book himself.
I agree with the above two anonymous comments. Trump can barely read from a teleprompter let alone write a proper sentence. I have several hundred books in my personal library. How many does ghostsniper have in his library?
Trump rarely reads from a teleprompter because he prefers to speak off the cuff. Obama built a reputation as a great speaker just based on reading from a teleprompter. Of the cuff he was awful.
Its been a month and thanks to this guy consumer confidence is down, inflation is ticking up again, unemployment is up, markets are down, 401Ks are down, the Atlanta Fed is forecasting a GDP contraction in Q1.
Every trading partner we ever had has no idea how to deal with us. During his first term it was infrastructure week every other week; now it is tariff week every other week. Would you do business with a partner that behaves like that or would you be looking for other suppliers? 4 years from now we will be poorer than we are today. No one wants to deal with a bully. Mexico and Canada are stuck with us but the rest of the world will move on, establish new partnerships and leave us behind.
Reading some of these comments just amazes me. I'm in Canada and would trade our Dear Leader, past, and soon to be present, at the drop of a hat. Some commenters have no idea what you have... Given the relatively new (recreated) global triad of China, Russia, and the US (as in 72), I can understand fully why a resurgent US would go full Munro doctrine while rebuilding the mess that is it's current state. It will take years to repair the damage... Sorry, long time lurker, but some things require a response...
He might negotiate a deal, but at what cost? He'd make more money by leaving his money in the bank to earn interest. Negotiated a deal to buy Trump Plaza hotel, ended up being repossessed by the bank. Trump mortgage, Trump Vodka, Trump Steak all went out of business. Built casinos, all went bankrupt. A deal is only a good deal when there's a good outcome. Look what's happening to the US economy now, going in the wrong direction. What happened to all the promises pre election of cheaper prices? Still, those who love him love him so as long as you are happy being poorer for your love then rock on.
Cue the TDS. Shame when someone hates another so much that it clouds their judgement to this extent. Voted for the man 3 times to get someone in that gets the job done as advertised. No, this ain’t no bot!
Great book. My law firm worked with his companies. Great client.
ReplyDeleteI read it shortly after it launched and was very worthwhile. Yes, read it.
DeleteRequired reading: everything he does as POTUS will make perfect sense.
ReplyDeleteThat’s what I said the other day to my compadres and then I downloaded it. Will start reading this weekend.
ReplyDeleteHave any of you checked your stocks in the last few days?
ReplyDeleteLost a bunch Monday and Tuesday. Made it all back on Wednesday.
DeleteCheck again.
DeleteCan be found in the fiction section of the public library.
ReplyDeleteHow would you know, you've never been to a library?
DeleteRegularly use public libraries as well as my own extensive private library. Not that it's any of your business.

ReplyDeleteAnd how many books have you written asswipe?
DeleteThey all have ghost writers. Generals Powell and Schwarzkopf had ghost writers. Do you want to bash them too?

If he read from the teleprompter he might tell fewer lies.
DeleteI’ll take 1 Trump over 100 Bidens or Obamas.
ReplyDeleteThe guy is a fucking asshole
ReplyDelete"Trump makes one believe for a moment in the American dream again"
ReplyDeleteAnd then the moment passes and the New York Times goes back to hating America.
