    1. Yes. It was a platform for laser guided bombs, just about exclusively, as far as I know.

    1. Funny about that. Tom Clancy invented a stealth fighter and invented that it was unstable in flight because the shape made it hard to control. The F-117 had computer-assisted flight controls and was smooth as glass. Still, congress people heard 'wobbly goblin' and questioned the Air Force about how bad the F-117 handled. Air Force had to squash all that, like I am doing now. Clancy was good, but he wrote fiction.

  5. The existence and appearance of these planes was highly classified (special access program) back when they were being built. This picture would probably have been secret special access when taken. Maybe top secret special access.
