And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? I figure 36 sq ft per fluke. So, 72 sq ft for the tail. I reckon they're made of cartridge, skin, and mostly fatty tissue. What that weighs per unit is a guess. I reckon 200-250 lbs per fluke for an adult male grey whale. That's my WAG. I want to say the flukes are an average 3" thick but that's where my guess falls apart.
I wonder if them at the Monterey Bay marine lab would know?
But the sheer weight wouldn't be my concern; it's the force of that weight smashing down.
