  1. The bbq is outside and the food is in the kitchen, the probes ain't gonna reach. Dumbass design, there should be a remote unit for each probe.

    1. The intention is to use both probes for the same roast/chicken/pork butt/etc. One probe for a large piece of meat will not usually be accurate enough due to uneven cooking.

  2. Have it, use it. It works quite well. One probe is for meat, one probe is for inside smoker/grill temp. The unit the probes plug in to stays with the grill, the other comes into the kitchen to monitor. Works great in the kitchen oven as well.
