And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
All these pics with these rich peoples sailboats, in prime pristine waters, and never see anyone fishing for dinner? I dont get it. Right under their boats is the worlds finest sea food, better than any restaurant, and its free.
Its not a complaint, its trying to understand human nature. How can ones who are intelkigent enough to be wealthy enough to own these beautiful boats, not be fishing for truly great food, like a big fat 100lb arctic water halibut, or some king crab, or my favorite, just caught fresh haddock, better than lobster when its wiggling fresh. At least have the cooks gofer drop a line overboard. And besides, your carefully disguised insult is uncalled for, if I had to make some assumptions, looks an awful lot like its coming from somebody with a nose in the air.. Eew!
Retired E-6 here; Sailed across a couple oceans on own 43 footer, never fished, don't like fish a whole lot. Lived on canned food, spaghetti, etc. Enjoyed the stars and the views... Still don't have big bucks but grateful for the experiences and my current trawler.
There's different levels of rich, complains-about-rich Anon. The "rich guy" who owns this little boat probably made a couple of million (just enough to afford the boat) with a few years of hard but important work or a lucky strike in the markets, and is sailing around by himself or a small crew of friends/fellow travelers. The kind who could afford to pay for a "cook's gofer" to drop a line off the back makes hundreds of millions, possibly billions, and would be motoring around in a much bigger yacht. And like the retired E-6 says, not everyone likes fish. Watch some vids of what small boat sailors pack & see their food stores.
Part of the problem with Anonymous comments is with a handle a contributors past efforts can put the reader onto an appreciation of their usual 'tone'. Take 'Ghostsniper' for instance.
Whats with you two? Attacking others no matter the name is nasty, no matter how you try to disguise it, no matter if you disagree with their honest observations.
If you do not know, there are 1000's of people who are totally blocked from various commentary systems by the thought police sensors. They can only use the anonymous option. I have been blocked since 2010, once your black listed you can not sign up on all the platforms.

ReplyDeleteSocialists always complain about "Rich People".
DeleteCannot just enjoy the beautiful world around them.

DeleteIf a chunk of that glacier valve off, that boat becomes a submarine!

It's only cold on the outside.
ReplyDeleteBut someone sailed a fair piece to get there from civilization.
Still haven't worked out "why", but that's on me.
