  1. There's an old Texaco station not much larger than that preserved on the property of a big old house here in Watkinsville, Ga.

  2. Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Owned by JM Sauer, this gas station had only two pumps and it measured just three and a half by four feet. A trap door in the little gas station featured a spiral staircase that went downstairs into a larger space where there was a bathroom and a storage area for things like bulk oil. Now on display at the Becker County Historical Society.

  5. In W-S, NC, there's a real "Shell" Station. Yes, the building is shell-shaped like their logo.
