And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
A friend of mine has a tusk his Grandfather took legally over 50 years ago displayed just like that by the fireplace (his brother has the opposite one). He keeps the paperwork in order because he's been challenged on it a few times.
Mine won't be nearly as nice, but they'll be two beams carved and painted to look like ivory. Most of the room cachet, none of the hassles. And still get the satisfaction of pissing off the Karens, without the extinction problem.

An associate pastor at my church is a Catholic priest who used to be the Philosophy Chair at St. Louis University. I'd heard that someone once visited his room, and described it as a "den of predation". He liked to bear hunt in Canada, among other things.
