  1. "Steering into the skid" is a very important concept to grasp.

  2. Abbie Eaton in a 4WD 911 vs. Jeremy Clarkson in a Lambo Urus on an oddly shaped track on a frozen lake in Sweden. Outstanding footage from "The Grand Tour". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HX5wETNXnMI

  3. the original 911s were killers....power induced oversteer....even killed Auggie Pabst...I have spun one myself, but wasn't going very fast...the weight distribution is wacked and you are driving the weakness....until they put bigger tires on the back....they were deadly cars

  4. They had a winter performance center set up when we were in Switzerland last winter. As we have two Porsches I thought it would be nice to try it out. Wife wasn't having any....

  5. All vehicles with semi-trailing arms are deadly on low friction surfaces. (suspension travel from jounce to rebound would go from toe in to toe out, the last thing you want with a significant mass behind the rear axle.) More grip at the rear and squatting the rear suspension would tame some of this behavior but it was not until Porsche completely redesigned the rear suspension in the '90's did the go off the road backwards and die habit be tamed.
