  1. To me, it looks odd with the extra rounds mounted like that.

  2. As owner of four Marlins, I can say that the setup on this one is all wrong.

  3. But you don’t own THIS Marlin…. Your opinion only detracts from the photo….

    1. True, thankfully I don't own this one.

  4. Think we all should own a prize piece of personal property, proper property, and a lever gun fits the bill to a T. Got me a Rossi Trapper in .44, traded in a Whinny 30-30 for it. Lot more handier carbine.

    1. That Rossi .44 is one of the best values out there. It's on my list of things to get.

  5. Like to have a 92 in 45-70, with the modern alloys used today, should make a great light weight cannon, 16 inch bbl of course.

  7. What position is the hammer in? Might be difficult to get your thumb on it with the scope. Shoot it with iron sights!!

    1. There's a hammer extension on the left side.
As for the rest of the gun, love the beautiful wood. Putting an extra pound of steel and glass on a beautiful thumper like that doesn't make it a long range rifle.

    1. I have a pre 64 mod 94 30/30 with an old Weaver 2.5 side mounted scope that is my favorite go to woods gun for whitetails. I also have that same scope mounted on a model 99 Savage in .300 sav.
