  2. The Flying Banana... always striking to see this aircraft in some of the places it went during its career. The contrast between the machine and the locations are subtle indicators of just how rapidly change was occurring, and to what degree.

  3. State of the art in 1931 and obsolete within 10 years. I like the work-around for the props. The 4 blade propeller is a pair of 2 blade propellers stacked on a long shaft.

  4. The Brits leased an airfield in Sharjah, Trucial States - now UAE. That was a stopover on the way to India.
