And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Yeah and a Hudson Bay axe. Still use one my dad gave me when I made Eagle Scout. Iys not the best for chopping a tree down but it does the rest, best thing is its back pack light enough and so handy, makes it worth lugging it. If you got an axe, way to make fire, couple sets of snares, at least a 22 pistol, a good camp knife, you are pretty sure to make it thru any weather, but more so for as long as you need. I do a lot of bush-wacking wilderness camping, goes back to being a BoyScout, my boy and I have great adventures and with at least two, makes everything far more less work and time to have fun. We like winter camping, during deer season, because it tests or skills and honestly once your at it a few days its always amazing how much your body adapts. Though you have to eat a lot of rich food to stay warm. Thats why we make lots of deer meat mince meat and dry cure our bacon, and bags of jerky, they are super winter foods. Then if we bag some grouse and squirrels, along with some venison, we eat like kings, meat eating kings that is. We discovered a great area with connected wilderness small lakes and ponds, its all surrounded with fir tree bog, so tons of game and making beds out of hemlock branches, they make excellent ground insulation and smell so good. Lot of good times, got buddies they come along, come and go, as we usually spend couple weeks at it. Even the local game warden will come in his canoe and eat with us. Looks after our vehicles too, its way in in logging haul roads.
You can't go wrong with a Council Tool axe.
