    I've read about sheep men that utilize three different breeds of guard dogs that form three different perimeters around their flocks, at a distance, intermediate and among the flock. I thought that was pretty brilliant.

    Aren't stock dogs great?

  4. We have a herd of goats and three Great Pyrenees that live among the herd. Our oldest female dog lives in the pen with our billy goat and they are pretty friendly, even playing zoomies together. Our two puppies (7 months old) are in with the nannies and yearling kids. They get along fine, but they aren’t really friendly. At night, the goats go into barns and the dogs play in the barnyards.
