That's an inviting city stroll

  1. Yeah, back about 1956, today you're almost going to be a statistic in any city.

  2. Looks like a better day to sit inside a bar, sip a beer and watch everyone else walk around in the cold rain

  3. Your definition of "Inviting" and mine must be different...I do enjoy your site, thanks for all the time you put into it.

  4. more reminiscent of small town America in the '50s: not city

  5. The thing about small town America is that it lacked the big buildings and neon. So, not sure what you're referring to.

  6. That scene is all but lost now, (lot to be said for it), thanks the globo-domination actors. And just who are they to decide how we all live must anyway? "Reject The Modern World" is no passing fad me thinks.

  7. 1955 if that Chevy on the curb is current. If you had a movie marque it would help pin point the time. Yes that would be a good town to be in.

  8. That's Hastings Street Vancouver B.C. ( you can tell because it's raining ). Back in the day Vancouver had a lot of neon signage - almost all gone today. If you walked down that street now you'd have a hard time avoiding the homeless and junkies that infest the area. Sad. The restaurant with the neon coffee cup and the people with food trays rotated. Very cool sign. I believe someone rescued it and several others from being crushed years ago. Not sure where they are now......
