And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Strong Earthquake Strikes Santorini, Greece ! Causes Landslides. Yeah, I'd hate to be on one of those expensive houses perched on a steep cliff when the big one hits.
Since Santorini is the remains of the caldera of a supervolcano which erupted sometime around 2500 BC (the Minoan eruption) the question for the locals is: does history really repeats?
To paraphrase. It doesn't necessarily repeat, but it does rhyme. Greece is my homeland. We've been reduced to tourism the largest percentage of GDP. This has had devastating economic effects. Ove 80% cancelations for this island and others in the area. Mykonos being the other major island experiencing cancelations.
