And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

here the thing that always got to me. a walker colt was like 4.5 pounds each. and he wore two of them , plus a couple of smaller hide out guns. and loaded right, the walker was a hard hitting pistol for any time. kind of like the 44 mag of today. either way, it is a lot of iron to carry around.

I thought it was great. A one time friend that turned out to be a liberal thought it to be sad. She's no longer in my life, thank God.
