And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I learned to drive in '51 B3100 five window. It's only fun on billiard table smooth roads at 50mph or less on a sunny day. Solid front axle, drum brakes, a three-on-the-tree shifter that jams if you try to shift fast, vacuum operated wipers, armstrong steering and a heavy clutch pedal, weak 6volt headlights.... There's a reason that so many people bolt the bodywork to an S10 chassis and drivetrain. It's a '48 or later, '47 and earlier had vertical grille elements in the center above horizontal elements. Needs the whiskers shaved.

ReplyDeleteMid-1947 was the first year of the Advance Design, and this type grill was pretty much the same through 1953.
DeleteIt might... be fun to try!

Early '47 had the old body design and vertical grill, but the Advance Design was introduced in June '47.
