And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Just then I hear the sharp report of cracking ice. Then another, this one nearer to me. A fissure came racing in my general direction. I laughed; just like in a cartoon, the crack ran between my feet. I made haste to get to the more solid terrafirma. But not before I got the shot.
Ahhh National Parks... Wasn't it cool when we had National Parks? Doge decided National Parks are not necessary and cut their budget.
Good thing that we saved that money. Nobody needs to go to Yosemite and Donnie needs the $ to golf 10 times in the last 30 days. Government efficiency at its best.
Might be a wee bit pessimistic here. Trump left the national parks alone in his first term. I suspect they'll do well again this go 'round. If there's blatant wastefulness, then it deserves to get cut, but I don't see that happening in the NP system. (I'm a former NPS employee.)
