Lincoln, still the tallest!

  1. Interesting. I’d like to see a comparison of each president’s height against the average male height at the same year they were elected. Is height a factor?

  2. How do they know how tall FDR was?

    1. I figure that they must have straightened him out on the slab.

    2. President FDR was 4'2".
Pre-polio FDR might have once been 6'2".
These are not the same thing.

  3. Although dead JFK was technically still president before LBJ was sworn in and he was 4 inches shorter than the advertised 6 feet

  4. I've always heard that tall men are far more likely to be president (of anything).

  5. Lincoln had Marfan's Syndrome. Barron will be the tallest.

  6. Read an essay some years back that claimed the tallest presidential candidate most always wins, then compared heights of presidential opponents going all the way back to the beginning. I don't actually remember who the "short" guy was that won. I think it was one of the Adams'.
