And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Nice rifle, but I have a good .30-06 that seems to do just fine and is considerably less expensive to shoot, unless I buy Hornady Vintage Match rounds.
Never shot one of those lever cannons. They surely get some impressive energy numbers out of the modern loads. Got me a Rossi .44 mag trapper years ago, been a very light weight and handy, (16 inch barrel), super reliable deer taker, considering a pistol style red dot for it, something fitting with the carbines simple style, instead of a regular scope, besides, woods are so thick around my area never have to shoot further than out to 75 yards if that, usually 50 and under, and the .44 has more enough power at those ranges.
What is the extension thingamabob on the end of the barrel? A silencer? A choak?
ReplyDeleteWeapon light, the angle of the photo makes it look like its on the end of the barrel.
DeleteMaybe a flash hider. Not a choke.

ReplyDeleteLearn to reload, Friend. And maybe learn to cast your own bullets.
DeleteElmo - You sound like one of the cowboys of the Old West.
DeleteI have a forward mounted scout scope on mine.

ReplyDeleteDitto that! My 1965, Savage 99F in 308, scratches my lever action itch.
