And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
In the mid 1980s, I was tasked to lead a team configuring a sound room for our EE department to use for environmental DSP experiments. We were using a Yamaha DSP-1 to simulate various live environments to test our adaptive filter algorithms. The result was a six speaker setup. We used a pair of KEF 104.2 speakers as the direct sources, a pair of Klipsch Heresy II speakers for the front corners, and a pair of Infinity Q5 speakers in the rear corners. We drove them all with Carver amps, I don’t remember the model. Comparing the speakers, I rated the KEF as highest fidelity followed by the Klipsch and then the Infinity’s. We used the room to simulate many environments including the inside of a M1 Abrams tank.
The Klipsch are definitely good speakers, but I suspect that the Bluetooth audio profile used for sending the signal to the speakers is already a significant impairment to high fidelity. YMMV.
If the turntable above is the source, and if the speakers support the apt-X protocol during pairing, these will probably sound pretty good. Other sources might not provide a great codec and the sound might not be as good. YMMV.
Best bang for your buck speaker company on the planet. Been using them for 30 years.
