And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The islet (often called “Ilhéu”) of Vila Franca do Campo, located just off the coast of São Miguel Island in the Azores (Portugal). It’s a small volcanic islet with a near-perfect circular lagoon in the center, making it a well-known spot for boat trips, swimming, and cliff diving competitions.
I have only seen it through a submarine periscope.

It's an amazing spot, I was snorkeling there in September. the Azores as a whole was an amazing trip.
