And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Been there. Beautiful! The area in the lower left is a huge, gorgeous botanical garden. Underneath the hotel is a 3-story shopping mall, a casino, and a subway station that connects you to all of the tiny country of Singapore. Singapore is the CLEANEST place I have ever seen. Bar none. Even empty lots are cleaned and manicured. The airport there is unbelievable. You could spend 3 days just vacationing there! Huge shopping area, movie theatres, and an amusement park...at the AIRPORT! The flight there is a killer, but put it on your bucket list! I HIGHLY recommend!!
I haven't been back there since 91, coming back from Desert Storm. We got 7 days in port, since we were EOD we didn't stand watches or do SP duty, so 7 days to explore. Clean is an understatement! Went to the zoo and it was incredible. Went for runs in the waterfront parks at 2300, and I would see women out walking without a care. This is where we need to bring our country back too!
I have also been there. They have infinity pools and infinity hot tubs on the roof. When I was there, a thunderstorm came by and there was so much static electricity in the air that the girls hair were standing straight on end. I had everybody move inside immediately.
