  1. Now *there's* one thing where I *really* don't want to deal with batteries. I already have a cordless one.

  2. I can't imagine, maybe for pruning. When a tree comes down as it recently did across my fence it takes hours of work to clear and about 1.5 cords of firewood for next year. The gas chainsaw ate gallons. If I went electric I would still be trying to clear my fence in August.

On the otherhand, EMS like them. You can open up a plastic/thin gage car in nothing flat with those things.

  3. I despise being up in a canopy, or gaffed in on the trunk, and the f saw doesn't want to start.. Got a battery saw for that reason. They don't use fuel at idle between cuts, either. Ground work and processing/cleanup is axe or machete for branches smaller than my wrist. Electric, or gas arbor saw for branches up to the size of my calf. Regular saws for all other, and I run Husqvarna. It will take some convincing that thing is competitive to my 435.
