And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
For most of my life, I have been a warm weather person. That is, I would much rather try to find a cool place when the weather is hot...than an unfortunate person looking for a warm place to get out of the freezing cold.
Snow skiing or snowboarding have never - ever been in my purview. But I think that anyone who loves this form of recreational activity is blessed.
When I was a kid in "South" California I was a pretty good skateboarder. Years later, I went out to Shasta Ski Park, I was around 43 and tried snowboarding and found it similar. The Instructors were true to their word, I was boarding down the good runs by the end of the day. I did fall and crack my tailbone on the ice so I drove home sitting on a improvised doughnut while nursing a six pack of Corona. 66 now and I may go again even though I enjoy snowmobiling more.

ReplyDeleteBackcountry snowboarders and skiers often use snowmobiles to get to their play areas. You can see the handlebars if you look.
