And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Picture #2, I wonder if that was staged or the right place, right time picture? I like it. #5 left me missing my VW camper.. #6, I wonder if that is the light at the end of the tunnel? :-) #15 looks like camping on the Olympic peninsula in Washington state.
Does look rather like the Ho Rainforest on the west side of the Peninsula. Very spooky. Every time I go there I feel as though around the next bend in the trail might be a Cascadian Mammoth still hanging about.
Picture #3.... Sure, tear-assing your way through the desert on your dirt bike can be one version of a great time, but get a little too close to, or heaven forbid, fall into, a Jumping Cholla, and you will regret your life choices.
The desert is travelled best when travelled slowly.
It's the Hotel Belvedere on the Furka Pass in Switzerland.
This article somehow claims that its closure in 2016 "is one of the first Swiss victims of climate change." They then go on to talk about how the hotel had to be closed and winterized when the pass was closed every fall and workers had to fly in on a helicopter to prepare to open in Spring. I think that might have more to do with the closure.
I'm done with the week & driving, got a bunch of beer, 20lbs of crawfish & a big pile of records to go through. Gonna eat, drink & probably make my neighbor's listen to music they don't like. Birdchaser.
That classy lady knows she won't be out there long, the guy who ,tried "ass , gas or grass" will be out there alone a lot longer Dennis the librarian shusher
My favorite is the one with the dog.

DeleteC.W., Ol Remus was right all those years ago; 'Drop by Daily Timewaster, C.W. has the eye!'. Major compliment coming from that man. Patrick
ReplyDeleteI did not know he said that. A compliment indeed, thanks for letting me know.

ReplyDeleteI don't count the pictures so I cannot quote a number ... but the young lady in the leathers next to her motorcycle is stunningly beautiful.
Owned a '76 Ford XLT back in the day. Wish I had it now.
