And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Like to have one of those. Its a dandy. Have an alpaca wool blanket from Brazil, got it in 1964 down there, bought it from a tribe selling them at an open air market, ladies had a loom making one, its near a half inch thick, natural colors in browns and whites, it still has lanolin in it, when the temps go down at night it works so well its crazy, and heavy, so it stays in place, got to stick an arm and leg out to regulate body temperature. Still smells like when it was brandy new. Taken it everywhere on the road when inwas on the racing circuit, at first just in case get stranded. Came in handy twice, but for cool weather large enough it makes like a sleeping bag, stretch out on the front seat, very comforting, that and a couple military surplus woobies.
Handsome.

ReplyDeleteIt's almost cool enough for that down here on the Gulf of America today, going down to the 20s tomorrow night. Might have to turn on the heater.
