And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I have gone through two pairs of these over 15 years. I need to buy another pair. They are comfortable and will last many hundreds/thousands of miles hiking every kind of trail. You can get lighter hiking shoes for sure, but I like these.
As a Satcom contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan I was going through work boots where they were lasting 6 weeks to 3 months. The Moab lasted 11 months in the sand, rock, and gravel.
Only modern style boots last with my 14 feet and 275. lbs, keep trying others the glue on them rapidly gives up the ghost.I like the talker version Merrill's best.
Ditto to the above comments. I think that I'm on my fourth pair. I keep two pair at a time. I refer to the older of the two as my "yard shoes" and they're usually pretty well beat up. I take my walks in my newer pair and when I can't stand my yard shoes any longer or they finally give up the ghost, I pitch the yard shoes and start with a new pair. I also have the 6" Moab boots, but don't wear those often at all.

ReplyDeleteWhat Rob above said. Although I'm still on my second pair after 13 years plus. Been my 'daily driver' for work and play.

ReplyDeleteI'm on my second pair over the last 15 or so years. I wear them daily on my three mile walks and general outside the house activity. Very durable.
