  3. Not necessarily bear country. My Dad told me to never go out in the woods unarmed, based on his experience of being armed with a fly rod vs. an angry elk. After becoming a sheriff, I discovered that two legged mammals were the real danger. She looks well heeled and only needs a couple of extra magazines.

    1. Sadly true. So many folks go through life not knowing or recognizing the wolves running in their midst, willfully oblivious to the real word until it is too late.

    2. And what makes things worse are the number of kids that wear ear buds / head phones blocking out what is going on around them. Little kids I understand but even young adults are guilty of this.

      Armed in the rurals is smart. As expressed above, it isn't just animals that are out there. Dangerous individuals looking to prey on others with few - no witnesses around are there too.
