And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I've been running Maglite's for years. One is sitting to my left as I type this, one is on my nightstand, one next to my kitchen chair, one in the garage, the shop, my F250...
Me too, although I've experimented with rechargeables too. Maglite's never wear out, are easy to maintain, and just work. Plus, remember that recent climbing post where the guy used a beer can as a piece of protection? Replace the beer can with a maglite and you might just have something!
I don't keep "C" cell batteries around anymore (or "D" cells), I found adapters that will take 3 AA or AAA batteries and make one "C" cell. I do keep both AA & AAA batteries around as they are used everywhere.. FWIW my (much older) 3 cell Maglite now has an LED bulb too.
If you have an old Maglite you can get a drop in LED bulb replacement that works great....
