Not sure why you think gun ownership is a problem. We have lots of guns in the country and hardly any are used for crimes. Many are used for self defense. My son drew a pistol and pointed it at the ground, just to let a trouble maker know he had it. The police here in Albuquerque said he did everything right. Gun crime is caused by criminals, not guns.
