And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Nice looking rig. Excellent high lift parasol wings, and a beautiful turbine driven prop. 50ft take off? 25ft landing with a head wind. Almost helicopter specs with a good pilot.
leading edge devices like slats only better for low speed. Look up Mike Patey on You Tube. He started out as a Wilga then added massive power and better low speed wings. Dude has money to burn and enjoys life.
must be experimental -- there's no N-number on it (or else it was removed for the picture) It's missing from the other picture of the same plane in this series of pictures
The N number is just above the leading edge of the ventral fin. The aircraft is registered as N123T. Looking that up,the aircraft is a PZL-104MA Wilga 2000.
Spectacular airplane, but it crashed 5 years ago due to pilot error. I followed the build on YouTube and it's performance was amazing. Very high tech, very custom.
I'm trying to figure out where any serious cargo can be placed to supply homesteaders in the bush. If it can carry much cargo, how does that affect its landing and takeoff requirements?

experimental requires N number

DeleteWas hoping for a demo.
ReplyDeleteLook on yew tooooob for Mike Patey. He's the builder of this craft.
ReplyDeleteBeg to differ on N number
ReplyDeleteIt doesn’t appear to have any cargo space.

ReplyDeleteThat's a STOL show plane, not a bush plane.
ReplyDeleteMade for landing on a postage stamp with a forward speed in the single digits.
