And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
When you are using a slide on a Dobro you don't deflect the string all the way down to the fretboard. That's why on an actual Dobro the nut is taller than what appears to be shown here and the action is a lot deeper. I only know this because I know Emmett Frantz and he talked me through it. That's a resonator guitar, which is a really cool instrument in its own right for sure. And if you don't know who Emmett is go look up The Petersens on YouTube.
