Beer cans and BB guns. Everyone's youth should include them.

  1. As a kid we would go trash picking night before when folks put their rubbish barrels out. Found lots of great stuff, one time there was a perfect condition enamel steel Sherman oaint cover the earth sign, my buddy still has it hanging on his wall, the best by far was a barrel with 11 BB and pellet rifles sticking out of it, front if a house up for sale, outstanding find, they even threw the ammo for them bottom of the barrel. We used them to destruction, top shelf kid fun.

  2. Except those cans have been shot with birdshot from a shotgun, not BBs. I spent many hours doing both.

    1. You gotta go and ruin it….. BB gun, shotgun…. None of that matters. If you felt nostalgia, no comment was necessary or appreciated…

    2. Don’t be a “well, ackshully” person. Let nostalgia just happen.

    3. Sigh, there's always one Debbie-Downer in the bunch. Go play on BlueSky where you belong.

    4. Sorry snowflakes, go with reality. It's birdshot and youth back in the day used shotguns for beer can fun along with BB guns. I'd wager more cans were killed with 22s than either shotguns or BB guns.

  3. When I was a kid, beer cans were made of steel and most B B guns would only dent them. A .22 LR, on the other hand... Eod1sg Ret

  5. .22 shorts and the back yard. The best target was a aerosol can with some pressure left inside.

    1. 78, still the same. I have an 8 yard 2 arm cross set up off the deck with a variety of about 15 cans and lids. The Daisy (brick of a) trigger is great practice for a smooth steady pull.

  7. That is the only thing that anyone should do to that disgusting brand of "beer."

  8. Don't forget taking turns on shotgun shells until they were too far away or dissapeared.

    1. A great use for golf balls too. If the ground is clear enough they don't instantly disappear. They'll take and amazing amount of punishment from a .22
