And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Old Lee made a damned good living playing bad guys. One of those actors that could easily improve a not-so-great movie just by showing up and doing his thing. Easily one of THE BEST villians of all time.
I am not remembering the title just now. A couple of weeks ago I watched Lee play a meek man terrified of the bad guys. It was a full length Western movie early in his career. He played the part very well.
