And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My mother in law made the absolute worst crust for her pies. She fed 6 kids and kept her husband happy, so there's that. My mom knew her limitations and always purchased frozen crusts that were very tasty.
Ritz crackers used to have a recipe for "mock apple pie" that had no apples. One of the ladies at our after church group took it upon herself to find the recipe and make one. You'd swear there were apples in there.

ReplyDeleteAnyone remember "Blue Bird" brand pies ?? They came in a yellow box with a see thru top. Store bought but always good.
