  3. I'd call that paint color 'Serape' because of its resemblance to that clothing item. Maybe this photo is from a low rider convention - the other cars in background appear to be customized vehicles too.

  7. I'm torn between hating it and admiring how freaking, painstakingly much work went into doing it. Not just the rainbow stripes but all the details in those stripes. I wouldn't want it, but... dang!

    Back window is missing the matching serape.
    Someone in Japan is doing it mostly right.

  12. Had a friend whose business, with a Japanese partner, was buying classic American cars and reselling them in Japan. It's been 20+ years but, at the time, he seemed to be doing okay.

    1. Don't know of it's still the case, but in the 60s imported used cars had to be in country for 12 months before they could be sold.
