And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Most millwrights I know, and I know a bunch of 'em, and was one myself in a previous life, use those (or a competing brand) a lot. The "deep cut" version is well worth the extra cost.
We have several at the boat yard, there great for cutting mangled shafts from grounded boats. Well worth the price. Although the corded ones are better.
I had to replace 250' of plastic lawn edging when we renovated our lawn and landscaping this summer. We switched from wood mulch beds to stone mulch and made the decision to upgrade the edging from plastic to Corten 3/16" thick steel edging. I knew cutting through the 4" high steel edging wouldn't be easy with an angle grinder, but my neighbor (who installs fencing for sports fields, prison yards, etc, offered me the use of his Milwaukee 4"+ deep cut band saw. I was a life saver and allowed me to finish the job so much faster, without the noise and sparks that a grinder would have generated. I bought him a set of 3 spare blades, and cleaned up the tool to thank him for letting me use it. Great tool indeed!
I have a 110v version. It is great for metal fabrication. Never allow the cut material to pinch or bind the blade. After you replace a few broken blades, you learn.
$204.00
ReplyDeleteList Price: $249.99List Price: $249.99 worth of crap
very limited use
ReplyDeleteI disagree its crap
ReplyDeleteI have one of each-- a battery powered one and 110v power one
It has proved itself to be very durable in tough situations, and quite useful where the only alternative is a hand hack saw
