And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Now this is a gadget I would find quite useful. Need. Santa, are you listening?
I was at a restaurant getting cheese grated on my food with one of those, my wife mentioned getting one for home and the waitress said they sell them... I've been grating Parmesan cheese with a standard 4 sided grater, that is easy to clean. I wonder what type of hassle that one is?
YUP, time spent on cleanup is questionable. On special occasions I've worked the trusty box grater. Everyday meals I opt for cello packs of shredded Parmesan. Lesser times go for the bargain priced grated Parma.
Got rid of the one I had after 1 use. Didn’t work all that well, serious pain to clean, took up a lot of space….. I just get block cheeses & use a standard box grater or flat grater. I’ll use a microplane for things like chocolate or nuts if needed.
I am on my second one for the past 40 years. I rarely bother with cleanup. I drop the entire thing along with cheese in a gallon zip lock bag and then back in the fridge.
That is a good idea! I just grated some & cleaned the box grater as soon as finished.. they I put the parm back in it's bag in the fridge. I could skip the clean up and always have fresh grated parmesan!

It's a hassle, I don't use mine anymore. I stick to the old school grater.
DeleteSame. The greater part on the one i had was steel, not stainless. Difficult to prevent rust.
Delete*grater. Ugh
DeleteLike so many kitchen gadgets, they make the process much easier but the time to clean up means the whole job ends up taking much longer.

ReplyDeleteHave one. Flimsy plastic. Pain in the ass to use and clean. Don't recommend.
