Hard to believe there really are such places

  1. This breathtaking spot is in Raja Ampat, an archipelago off Indonesia’s West Papua province. Known as “Four Kings,” Raja Ampat is famous for its vibrant turquoise waters, towering limestone islands, and lush, green landscapes. Beyond the scenic views, it’s a world-class diving and snorkeling destination, with some of the richest marine biodiversity on the planet. The coral reefs are thriving, and the marine life is diverse and abundant—making it a true paradise for underwater enthusiasts. It’s no wonder Raja Ampat is often celebrated as one of the world’s most beautiful seascapes!

  3. Well, I remember that the SV Delos crew spent a few episodes in and about Raja Ampat and they showcased the beauty of the place. It is beautiful.

  4. Spent a week in Midway back in 2001 when it was opened for about four years to fishing. Beautiful water…and I landed an all tackle world record to boot. Bar stool bragging rights that stand to this day. If I recall, there were 11 IGFA records over that period, all tackle and line class.

  5. It's not all perfect, these places are usually very hot and humid and all of them are infested with no'see'ms ( the little black things that even get into your nostrils)
