Great camping spot, as long as there's no threat the river will rise.

  2. I learned very early never to camp right on a river or stream. 1: All it takes is one strong rainstorm during the night and you could wake up floating down the river on your air mattress. 2: Animals need to drink. But they won't come down to the river with your camp in the way.

    1. Or worse, they will.
Introduce the wife and kids to Mr. Cougar, Mr. Wolf, and Mr. Bear when you meet them at 2AM.

This is a rookie campsite for morons.

You fish and draw water at the side of the stream.
      You don't camp by it.

  3. There is always the threat that the river will rise because of an action miles & miles away. Camping in the river bed or waiting until tomorrow to cross the river is never a good idea.
