And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Would love to have that clock face pump with the Pennant globe. Very rare! Worked at a Sinclair in my early teens in the 60's. No, it wasn't child labor, it was earning money for gas and parts for your first street rod, which meant independence! Bubbarust
Wait, so you're telling me that companies actually built these stations on their own, with THEIR OWN MONEY, all to ensure that customers had plenty of access to the fuel they needed? So the taxpayers weren't STOLEN FROM by the government in order to put up tens of thousands of these stations all to promote an industry that nearly nobody wanted to purchase from? People actually wanted gasoline powered vehicles and oil companies were happy to make sure that their customers were well-supplied with the fuel and services they needed to keep them running? That sounds so 20th century. LOL
Whrere's Dino The Dinosaur?
ReplyDeleteThere are still a few Sinclair stations about. Last time I was in Rolla, MO, there was one there.
ReplyDeleteThose girls were very lucky that wasn't Joe Biden 'pumping gas'.

ReplyDeleteI know it was terrible for everything, but oh, the smell of leaded gasoline was wonderful!
