And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

That's Sherman Way a block west of Reseda Blvd, looking east at sunset, and Moun Ky was a pretty good semi-cryptic explanation of what they were serving as chicken.
I'm pretty sure the ideograms on the sign say "That wasn't chicken".
The whole neighborhood was a wasteland of decline and "malaise" then. Now, it's even worse.
Maybe I'll drive over there and take a pic at the same corner, for comparison, and post you a link.
An interesting place in California, apparently. I remember a restaurant on Garey Ave in Pomona that offered Chinese food and jelly donuts.
