    1. I was going to say... cut Dad some slack on a dirty car. He just brought the boys back home from a trip they'll remember for the rest of their lives.

  2. In the good old days the hood ornament of your '55 Pontiac could be used to tie your boat down. Road dust on a car is like callouses on your hands, both are proof that you've done something.

    1. modern cars have no holes, hooks, or work-arounds to lash to, inside/outside/under. 'ceptin' two less-than-confidence-inspiring anemic rails on the roof ...if present.
