And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I'll be smoking and BBQing this weekend, between naps.
Blues Hog Champions' Blend 25 Oz and Smokey Mountain 24 Oz BBQ Sauce 2 Pack
I remember when Bill Arnold stopped in on a BBQ listserv I frequented, saying he'd recently lost his job, had two daughters to support, and had this recipe for a BBQ sauce that was pretty good. Started making and bottling it in his kitchen. Called his sauce Blues Hog. He'd check in with us over the years as the sauce(s) grew in popularity until, eventually, he sold the lot. Sadly, he had at least two bouts with cancer, losing the last one.
Ain't gonna be any BBQ around here this weekend. Just spent all day replacing the torsional coupling on a 12 cylinder MAN in a 65ft sport fisher. Took about 9hrs & most killed me. Got a couple of nice Mahi-mahi filet's & a 20lb tuna loin & a nice cash tip. Going to have beer , tuna & music. And anyway that's the wrong color of BBQ sauce.
That champions blend is great stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe Raspberry Chipotle is a great glaze for chicken, grilled chops, or even for Lil Smokies.
ReplyDeleteChampions Blend as well as Tennessee Red!
